Copia Green Named All Island ‘Cafe Of The Year’ 2020 At The YesChef Awards
Copia Green has been named All Island ‘Cafe of the Year 2020’ at the seventh annual YesChef Awards, which were held on Tuesday 15th October in the Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, Sligo. Over 500 hospitality professionals from across the country came together to celebrate the success of the Irish hospitality industry and to recognise the achievements of those who work tirelessly to deliver fantastic experiences for their customers.
Reacting to the award win, Pat O’Sullivan, Managing Director of Master Chefs, which runs Copia Green said, “We are absolutely thrilled with this national award, which is an endorsement of the passion, commitment and dedication of a very talented team lead by Kasia Malik. Copia Green is an innovative food concept and this award demonstrates that we are ‘on point’ with international trends for organic, sustainable and environmentally conscious eateries.”
Tuesday night’s accolade is the second major industry award that the sustainable cafe & restaurant has won since it opened at Park Point on the Dublin Road in Castletroy a little over 12 months ago. Copia Green was also named winner of the ‘Best ‘Free From’ category at the 2019 Munster Regional Irish Restaurant Awards earlier in the year in recognition of its health driven dishes, which have been specially designed to cater for all dietary requirements.
Copia Green, who’s menus support and champion local Irish food producers, is open daily from 7.30am for breakfast and lunch (brunch menu is available on Saturdays and Sundays) and has recently launched a brand new dinner menu, which is available on Friday and Saturday nights (until 9.30pm).
