ELLAN FARM

Sustainably Grown Produce

In June 2021, we purchased 20-acres of land in Ballyneety, Co Limerick, with a vision and commitment to providing sustainable, organic and zero waste food to our customers from start to finish. We believe that good food starts with good ingredients, and that's why we have embarked on a journey to create a self-sufficient Centre of Excellence in sustainable food production.

Our vision for the farm encompasses all aspects of food production, from growing and processing our crops to re-processing compostable packaging and food waste to feed back into the land. We want to redefine what a catering company should be by taking control of our business decisions along the entire consumption life cycle, creating our farm to table to farm approach.   We want to make sure that everything we choose, purchase, consume, compost, recycle & discard is done sustainably, without compromising our high standards or quality.

At Master Chefs, we follow a set of principles that guide everything we do.

We ferment, preserve, soak, sprout, brew, innovate and educate as we endeavor to bring more to the table.

Our aim is to have a year-round supply of seasonal produce that's cultivated, processed, and distributed in a way that preserves its nutritional integrity. We want to use our facilities to educate and train people of all ages about where their food comes from, the importance of health and nutrition, as well as sustainability practices.

We believe that these principles are essential for producing healthy and sustainable food that nourishes the body and the mind.

Innovation is a key part of what we do. We want to continue to set standards within the industry and use our platform to inform others. We believe that education is essential, and we want to bring our own workforce to the Centre to ensure they understand and continue our brand message.

In time, as the Farm grows organically, our vision is to facilitate school tours to show future generations where their food comes from, the importance of nutrition and the basics of maintaining a balanced diet. We want to encourage primary & secondary schools to start their own gardens and grow some produce themselves.

We also want to allow third-level colleges that provide hospitality training to bring their students to us as part of their curriculum to see in practice what they should strive to achieve in the industry.

Most importantly, we want to bring our customers to show them how we produce the food they are consuming, helping to grow our business. Our Centre will encompass food tourism, education, practical workshops, product research and development, food nutrition, health, and wellbeing Centre.

At Master Chefs Farm, we want to foster and facilitate innovation amongst Artisan Food producers for everyone’s benefit.  We believe that good food starts with good ingredients, and we are committed to providing the best possible ingredients to our customers while minimizing waste and promoting sustainability.

They are visually represented throughout our business with our core value flags.
